After deliberation and review of the candidates running in the Kansas City Missouri Mayoral election, Forward Kansas City has endorsed first-time candidate and business owner, Steve Miller.

“Forward Kansas City proudly endorses Steve Miller as Mayor of Kansas City, Missouri, “said Tim Krisiti, Forward KC President. “We are blessed with very smart and dedicated people who are running for this office and we sincerely appreciate all who participated in this screening. Steve Miller stood out because of his demonstrated leadership experience, both in the private and public sector. Steve Miller’s unique understanding and vision for the future of our city focusing on growth and innovation, combined with his experience leading the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission, with infrastructure issues remaining so critical to the Northland, was impressive. Forward Kansas City believes these are vital characteristics needed in our next Mayor”

Steve Miller served as a member of the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission for 7 years and two terms as chair. The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission governs the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT). MoDOT has a larger budget than the City of Kansas City. During Steve’s time at the Commission, he worked to save taxpayers $600 million and oversaw approximately $6 billion in infrastructure improvements. Steve also brought back millions of dollars to Missouri from Washington, D.C.
